Rock Co Courthouse has Charles Death Doc# 6002 on 5-20-1916. He was married, born 12-13-1845 in Germany. He was a farmer. Father Michael, Mother Ernstina Tolezman. Died of stomach cancer and informant was Mrs. C. F. Brummond. Obituary from Janesville DAily Gazette dated 5-22-1916. The death of Charles Brummond, a resident of the town of Janesville, occurred Saturday evening at the family home after an illness of nearly half a year's duration, old age complications being the agencies of death. Mr. Brummond was seventy years of age and for over a quarter of a century had lived in the town of Janesville. He was a native of Germay and was born December 13, 1845, coming to America in 1870. Mr. Brummond first settled in Jefferson but stayed ther but a few months and took up his residence in Rock county in 1871. A year later the family took up their home in the town of Janesville. In 1884 Mr. Brummond's wife passed to the world beyond. They had been married in the old country in 1868. In 1885 he was married the second time and his widow, with four daughters, four sons and one stepson mourn his passing. The daughters are Mrs. Roy Miller of Whitewater: Mrs. W. Krahmer of Watertown: Mrs. C. F. Brummond of this city and Miss Grace Brummond, who lives at the home with Charles and John. Two other sons, Louis and Fred Brummond of Johnstown: one sister, Mrs. Ferdinand Heller of Edgerton and nine grandchildren. If you want to email me directly I do have other info on the family.
