Bill, I guess I'm going to have to make a trip to Detroit's main library and check that out. For the record, William and family were in Green County prior to Richland Co., originally from Vermont. They settled in Clarno, Green County in 1835. William was a judge in Monroe, WI and was the brother of my gr-gr-grandfather, Thomas Smith Bowen, also of Clarno. Thomas was a state senator in the mid-1850's. I've been trying for a long time to find out what happened to the family after they left Green Co. You've helped a lot, thank you! MaryRose Bowen
