Mary, do you have access to a copy of the 1884 History of Crawford and Richland Counties, Wisconsin? On page 1188 reference is made to William Bowen, his wife Electa and some of their children. Two of his sons, W. J. and F. P were prominent business in Richland County in the mid 1800s. I couldn't find anything on William and Electa prior to Richland County.
