Hi Clarice --

On the 1870 Bloom Twp., Richland Co., Census, she is enumerated as "Sarah J.," 17, b. IN, in the household of James A. and Charlotte Jones.

On the 1860 Bloom Twp., Richland Co., she is enumerated as "Sarah," 8, b. IN, in the household of Isaac Fish, 27, Blacksmith, b. OH, and his wife, Charlotte, 26, also b. OH.

From the looks of the 1870 Census, it appears as though both Isaac Fish, as well as James A. Jones' first spouse, died prior to this census. By the ages (and surnames) of the children, some are Charlotte's (including Sarah) and NOT James', others are James' and NOT Charlotte's, and a couple are both James' and Charlotte's.

So then, with these censuses in retrospect:

Indiana Marriage Collection, 1800-1941

Good luck from here!
