Hi

I reread this thread and there was a clue in it. The strongest hint you have is knowing where Herr Knabe was born as well. If they were married in Germany, then they would have lived within a short distance of each other (village wise) or in the same village. If they were married here the marriage certificate will be loaded with information as long as they were married in a predominately German area. (eg. The eastern lakeshore region of Wisconsin is about 60-80% German ancestry and this percentage was larger then)
