Someone recently contacted me abt the Anna Marie Engels in Ozaukee Co abt 1850 and I lost your addy. Here is my response:
This is what I can tell you abt Anna Marie Engel: Her parents are Johannes and Elizabeth Maden Engel. They came to WI abt 1849 from LUX. They are in the 1850 Federal Census and the 1855 State Census. I don't know what happened to them after that. Anna Marie m. Francois "Frank" Minette who also immigrated from LUX. She d. in Ozaukee Co, and is b. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belguim, WI. Her obit was written up in the local Luxemb. paper. (If you'd like a copy, I can mail you one.) After her death, Frank moved to Stearns Co, MN where most of his children settled. I know nothing abt her siblings, but it certainly looks like your Johann could be one of them! What do you think?
