I believe the person you are looking for is my great great grandfather, Nic Schinker. He was born in Comstom, Luxemburg on March 25, 1844...which would have made him 16 in 1860. He was my mothers great grandfather. He was a colorful local figure, a farmer and a politician in Port Washington Wisconsin. I have pictures of him. He was married twice, his first wife died...(dont have her first name handy)...upon her death her sister came over from I believe Luxemburg to care for the children and ended up marrying Nic...and they had children also. Her name was Katherine Luthem and they were married in Port Washington Wisc., on Feb 28, 1876. I have a lot more info on this family if you are interested.
