As part of the Chippewa County Genealogical Society and Chippewa County Historical Society study on Chippewa County physicians who practiced between 1830 and 1930, we have Dr. Hamilton Allan practicing here in 1888...coming here from Oconto. He left here shortly thereafter...most likely for Tacoma, Washington where he was noted to have practiced for a number of years. He later died in San Diego, California on 23 March, 1928 iaw the AMA Directory of Deceased American Physicians...see note below:
