Thank you for your reply. We, too, think it is likely that "P" was the initial for Peter. Even doing searches using that name, we have been unable to locate the family on any ship passenger lists or any information about the family before they left Ireland or before the children (James, Michael, and Peter) and Thomas came to Wisconsin. We have a pretty good history of all after they came to Wisconsin.
