I know just a little about Ludwig Roepke and his wife Caroline. This is my belief based on what little information I have. Ludwig & Caroline lived with their daughter Ottelia and her husband Johann (John) Dretke in Missilon Ohio. Later they moved to Symco, WI.

I belive I saw a census record that Ludwing & Caroline had many children. I suspect they all came to America from Posen Province Germany in the 1880's (meaning both Roepke's & Dretke's). I've seen the name spelled Ropke with the German eumlot over the 'o' as well as the American spelling Roepke.

I wish I had better information but as of this posting this is the best I have.
