I am looking for a BIG favor. I need someone to find the tombstone of Lyman Kenyon, buried in Arcadia, Cemetery, Trempealeau, Wisconsin. He is buried in the same plot with his son, Fredric Kenyon, in the old section. Although there is a picture of his son's headstone on findagrave, no one on findagrave has followed up on my request for a photo for Lyman Kenyon's headstone. I understand that at one time there was a headstone for Lyman Kenyon, according to the town historian, whom I spoke with more than one year ago. Perhaps the headstone is covered with grass. Lyman was born 1815, and was an early pioneer of Wisconsin with his wife Melissa Phelps. He died about 1882, I understand. His wife Melissa died in 1888 and is also buried in Arcadia Cemetery. I am hoping that Lyman's headstone will give me the date of his death, so that I can search for his obituary. I live in California, so I am quite a distance from Wisconsin. I have been searching for the identity of Lyman Kenyon's parents for more than two years. I am hoping that someone who lives in or around Arcadia will take the time to do this search for me. I know that I am asking a lot. I have run out of leads to follow to find the identity of his parents.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Kenyon
