Hi Judy: thanks for the comeback. I am working on the family of our daughter-in-law. A Michael James Murphy, born about 1826 in Ireland; his wife Johanna (Anna) Holland Muryphy born about 1830 in Ireland; and their two sons Michael Charles born about 1862 and James born about 1864 left Ireland and came to the United States, settling near Waldwick, Iowa Co, WI, some time in 1864 or 1865.

I found them in the 1880 census farming in Waldwick, WI with another son and three daughters.

I cannot find any death record for Michael James or his wife Johanna Holland Murphy. Do they appear in the 1900 census record?

I would like to find out what county they immigrated from in Ireland and the ship they travelled on to get to the United States.

Thanks for your help. Leon
