Thank you so much Judy! I had some of the info but you have filled in some blanks that will be very helpful in my search!! Yes, the numbers don't add up.........On the census I see Carl Edison as a hired man. Later census show Roy listed with his last name not Swante's. I just recenlty went to Mason, WI and found Emma Anderson buried in the same plot with Carl & Roy Edison. Roy Edison died about the same time Emma did from a car accident.
I believe Edla was on the 1900 census but no where after that....I think she died very young but I am not sure. I have one date as 1/1/1902 but I can't prove it yet. I put some info out on the Bayfield County, WI forum & a lady named Kathryn Alexander just found Kathryn & Lydia for me. It is so hard when you don't have their married names but she found them! I know Emil left Mason, WI & went to Idaho and then a young woman from Mason named Louise Hanson followed him out there and I believe they were married in ID. That is about as much as I know of him.

Thanks again so much for your help!! Kim
