Dear Bill -

Thank you very much for your reply to my query. It was very helpful. It has been confusing to me which county Utter's Corner was established. At one time, I thought it may have been in Rock. Former postmasters,Joseph Utter and Simeon Utter were in my direct line.

So the the section of land it was on, was actually the town of Richmond, which is new to me. Also, I had no idea of how close it was to other towns, so that is very helpful, should I decide to visit there in the future. I would like to come out to see it.

I'll have to try to work out some of the earlier county changes when I come to visit, as my family history in Wisconsin goes back to its earliest days, when making changes to county lines happened.

As for Charles Utter's daughter, referred to as one of the first "white children born in the county" she was my Great Grandmother Helen Utter, born 1855 in Sparta, Monroe, Wisconsin.

I am most appreciative of your time and research.

Marilyn Kenyon
