There also seems to be some confusion about Nancy's maiden name; sometimes listed as Tiggett, Tiget, or Dygert. George VanLone was born in New York but there are several families with this name in New York at the time of his birth. The 1840 Federal Census forms did not list the names of everyone in the household, only how many people in different age brackets. I thought if someone else has been working on this family, perhaps they already knew George's parents' names. Notify Administrator about this message?
