The source of this information is "History of Northern Wisconsin" c1881 in the Trempealeau County Section,of this old book, there was a short bio. Rev David Wing farmer at Trempealeau was born June 21, 1810 in Cape Cod, Mass. He was ordained as a Deacon in the Methodist Church of Rochester N.Y. by Bishop Heading . In 1845 David Wing came to Illinois and was ordained an Elder by Bishop Waugh. In 1846 he came to Wisconsin as a missionary under Father Bruns in 1854 with some travel to Minnesota. He worked for over 50 years as a labourer in Christianity. In 1873 he retired settling on a permanent home in Trempealeau County,WI.
David Wing married Jane Lobdell of Madison County (Believe this was Madison County,NY. ) date was 1832. They had 5 children who are all deceased now and Jane Lobdell Wing died in 1853.
David married a second time to Lorinda Richardson of Winnebago County Il . The couple had 5 children all whom are now living. Before placing this information I have noted that there is more specific info on this forum. Anyway feel the bio was interesting. Hope this will help a Wing Family member. Not related. Regards, Ann
