Just a note. My husbands family knew a Bautch family in rural Independence,Wi. We are not familier with their family tree. It may be helpful to look in the Winona Daily News (archives online) for obituaries possibly some living relatives could be found listed there or also The LaCrosse Tribune" archives,online. Also the LaCrosse Library has listings of obituaries from early 1900s. Listings from library are online ; you have to write for obituaries. Hope this will help a bit.
