I am interested in locating any living decendent of Joseph Edward North. He was born in or around 1854 in Wisconsin and died sometime after 1920 in Onalaska ,Wisconsin. This family went south to Mississippi in 1900. He was my Great Grandfather's oldest brother.
Sometime around 1910 his sawmill went into receivership and Joseph went back to Onalaska,Wisconsin.As far as I am aware. I would like to clear that up!! Joseph had 2 sons and a daughter who did not survive infantcy. His 1st. son Raymond was born in 1879 in Onalaska as was his 2nd son, Lesley born in 1885. I have no info on Raymond.
Lesley L. North married a woman named Dora{Dola?} around 1903 in Bond,Miss. The family eventualy settled in Lafourche County,La. The town of Raceland. The family eventually moved to New Orleans in the late 20's or early 30's . Any direct information on this family would be very helpful.
