I am helping my step mom research her family line. So far I am unable to find her dad or her grandpa in the census. I have tried their middle names, and still nothing. Looking for anyone connected to this family.
Herman Wegner married Augusta Tank; they had
Oscar Charles Wegner born 6 Feb. 1891 in Milwaukee died 13 Dec. 1983 was in U.S. Army from 16 July 1918 to 27 Jan. 1919.
Oscar married Sophie Remus on 14 April 1924 in Milwaukee. Sophie Remus parents are Alexander and Agnus nee Felski Remus. Sophie born 12 Nov. 1904 died abt. 1936.
Oscar and Sophie had the following kids:
Charles Alexander Wegner born 29 June 1926 in Pewaukee, Wisconsin died 9 April 1998 in Marshfield, Wisconsin
Pauline Wegner born 30 April 1928
Bernice Wegner birth date unknown at this time
Oscar then married Francis M. Kosmeder on 23 May 1945 in Milwaukee. Francis parents are Vincent Podlazzewski and Martha Jurkiewicz. Now Francis was married once before, so I am taking Kosmeder as her married name from her first spouse. Francis born 9 Sept. 1900.
I have an address of 574 11th Ave. Milwaukee, Wis. This was founded on a post card that was from the Milwaukee County Chapter American War Mothers. Now in the upper corner, it has 8th ward.
When Oscar got married the first time he was living at 671 National Ave. Sophie was living at 350 Greenbush Street. I have located Sophie in the census, but haven't been able to find Oscar and the rest of the family after they had gotten married.
This is pretty much all the information I have at this time. I have located the Remus line, but not the Wegner line. I am not sure where else to look. I appreicate any help or suggestion. Thanks for reading, Best Wishes.
