Hello,
I just came from a memorial service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica, California, and found the following information that I thought might be of interest to Dunsmoor family members:
John V. Dunsmore, born October 14, 1881 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, occupation: Steam fitter, shipyard, Address: 114 Grand Avenue, Santa Monica, California, wife's name is Letha A. Dunsmore, date of death is October 3, 1947, cause of death is "coronary thrombosis," date interred is October 7, 1947 and the mortician is Kirkelie, Bernard & Peek. His doctor's name is James O. Lindsey.
Julia Ann Dunsmore, born November 30, 1862 in Wisconsin, occupation: housewife, Address: 114 Grand Avenue, Ocean Park (Santa Monica,) husband's name is John V. Dunsmore, date of death is July 23, 1943, cause of death is "generalized arteriosclerosis," date interred is July 27, 1943 and the mortician is Kirkelie, Bernard & Peek. Her doctor's name is listed as Frank A. Nance, Coroner.
It looks like John V. Dunsmore married Julia Ann, then she died in 1943 and he re-married Letha A. John V. then died in 1947 and I have no information on Letha A. Dunsmore.
Does anyone recognize these names? Just thought you'd be interested in the information. My great great grandparents, James Franklin Dunsmoor (March 19, 1839 to 1907) and Hattie Murdoc Hoffman (1846 to aft. 1907) also died in Santa Monica, but I did not see their names at Woodlawn. Please let me know if you recognize those names.
