JIMMY CHESTERFIELD - RECLUSE - d. 1927
Posted by: Leon Stebleton (ID *****6791) Date: February 17, 2003 at 10:35:13

I am looking for information on James (Jimmy) Chesterfield who lived in a small one room hut south of Waldwick, WI.

Jimmy was born in 1857 to John Chesterfield and Eliza Tippett who lived in the Town of Minral Point, Iowa Co, WI.

He did odd jobs for the area farmers; and at the time of his death over $3500- in cash was found sewed in the lining of his clothes.

His sister Mary Jane Chesterfield also did misc. jobs for the ladies in the area. She supposedly had a baby in April 1886, but was not married. What ever happened to Mary Jane?

Any information on the two of them would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
