States: Wisconsin: Juneau
I descend from Olive, Flora's oldest half sister, she married Enock Wood Bell, their daughter Katherine (Katie) married Arthur Fink, their son Orvia married Franc Hulce, their son Frederick married Veda Montgomery. Frederick and Veda are my parents. I have more detail on Flora in 1900 she lived in Union Town, Evansville City, Rock County, Wisconsin, working as a Servant in a Hotel, Birth date listed as Sep 1865, age 34, Married 14 years, 3 children, 3 living. Head of house is George Wolfe. I could not find John on this census. 1910 Census she lived in Woonsocket, Sanborn, South Dakota, worked as a Waitress in a Hotel, age 43, Widow, 4 children, 2 living. Head of House is Frederick H Davis. I couldn't find John on this census either. 1920 census she lived in Huron City, Beadle, South Dakota, worked as a cook for the YWCA (there is another work after YWCA that I couldn't read), age 54, widow, listed as Aunt to head of house Wesley J Cole. I think I found John on this census listed in Otter Creek Twp, Dunn, Wisconsin, age 59, divorced, Farmer, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New York. I can't find Flora on the 1930 census, she either remarried which seem unusual after all that time alone or she passed away before the 1930 census was taken which really seem more likely to me but I could be wrong. If the John I found on the 1920 census is her ex-husband then the 1930 census shows John at Red Cedar, Dunn, Wisconsin, Dunn County Home, Inmate, age 70, widowed, Wisconsin, New York, New York. I also have John on the 1880 census at Wonewoc, Juneau, Wisconsin, stepson, age 20, working on the farm, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania. Heand of House James Madison, age 55, Farmer, PA, PA, PA. Wife Sarah E age 47, Keeping House, PA, PA, PA. with James Madison, age 11, Betsey A Madison, age 8, and Joseph Madison, age 5, all born in Wisconsin. Do you want census information on Flora's family before she and John were married? I would have put all this down yesterday but I wanted to be sure you were still out there first. Best of luck with your search and hopefully you'll pass along any new info. Please. Thanks,
