Do you by any chance have a complete transcription of the articles or any information on the trial? There must have been a reason for the murder. Charles was eventually released from prison about 1912 and died in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Harriet, the wife, was also convicted of the murder. She died in 1895, but, I do not think in prison.

My niece, for whom I am doing the research, is a direct descendant of Conrad and Harriet, thru their daughter, Martha. Besides Charles, Martha, and Franklin, there were at least two other siblings, Joseph and Edgar. I have been unable to find anything more on Martha's family.
