As an amendment to my own previous memo, I have
now located the Julia Olson family in the 1900
census in Arena, Iowa Co., WI. The family name
on that enumeration was spelled Oleson.
So, now it is apparent that Julia's spouse was named
Peter Olson or Oleson, born Norway March 1838, immigrated
to U.S. in 1855.. and presumably married to Julia
just after her immigration to U.S. in 1885
Unfortunately, the Peter Olson of 1900 does not track back
well even to 1880.. there are a few suspects, but no one
who really stands out as beng the right person...
If anyone knows anything about this family-- Julia
and/or Peter, sure would like to hear from you
