I am looking for James R. Parker or any of his descendants - he was born in Rhode Island as far as I know, and then moved with his family to Virgil, New York. He was born in 1802 and married Sarah Ann...........She died in 1848 and is buried in Lapeer NY - according to 1850 census for Albany, Marquette Co - they had children - Charles D. Parker - Mary J. Parker, Helen M. Parker. I believe James R. was a brother to my gg grandfather Abel Parker Jr of Virgil - he came to Albany in the early 1840's and purchased land in the Land Patent Office- document is signed 1848. In 1850 Abel is listed and under his name is James R. Parker with wife Sally - and the three children.
In 1855 Abel moved to Waushara County - to Fish Lake, and sold some land to James R. Parker - perhaps the land he had in Albany, Marq. Co. After Abel moved to Waushara Co his wife Hannah was known to WALK from Fish Lake to Manchester to purchase supplies since there was not a store in Waushara Co. and then James R. Would bring her back to Waushara with her supplies. In 1855 James is still in Albany Marq co - and in 1861 he sold some land to Abel - so he was still around - but from that time on I cannot find him - I am hoping to find someone descended from him who can tell me what happened to him. I am writing this in the Green Lake County page because Manchester is now in Green Lake County.
