I am not directly related but with all the Neitzel's, there has to be a connection. My Grandparents came to America from Pommerania about 1890. and settled in Milwaukee, where I was born. Pommerania or Pommern is part of Prussia, which then became part of Poland after WWII. Most Neitzel's are from Prussia, and I know there were many that settled in Wisconsin. We are probably related, but the connection is more likely in earlier generations. I have not been able to trace back too far into Prussia because of the war (both of them) and then the communist dictatorship. If perhaps your records go back a few generations, I am happy to share with you or collaborate on our information to see where it may lead.
My Grandfather was Ferdinand Neitzel, and he had brothers, Albert, Carl, Franz all in Milwaukee. His father was Karl Neitzel. My grandfather came from Raduhn, Pomerania.
My connection with the Rourke's of Princeton where you found my name is on my Wife's side of the family. I am hitting a lot of dead ends there as well.
Please contact me directly if you have any info.
