I do believe I have solved the "Julia" mystery.I went back to the courthouse today and looked at the death certificate for Julia Ellingson. It did indicate that she was born in 1877.But elsewhere on the certificate it indicated that she was 78 years old when she died. You subtract 78 years from 1935 and you get 1857.So she is the right lady, plus it listed her as a widow and her husband was Elling Ellingson.
I rechecked the marriage index and there was no record of their marriage in Green Co, WI.Since it looks like they were married in 1873, that would have made her only 16 years old, so they may have just taken off and moved to Kansas and got married there.
In the 1880 census her father was widowed with four children still left at home.I forgot to look and see when Julia's mother died, but assume it was between 1870 and 1880.Her parents were Botloff and Julia Tollifson (spelled Solleson in 1880 census).
And the search goes on.Leon
