I found Nathaniel Tompkins b.1814 in census, 1790, 1800, 1810, 1870,& 1880.On 1870 & 1880 he was married to Hannah b.1824. All from Westchester, Greenburgh, all born in NY.A lot of Tompkins are listed in the census.Ch. Abraham b. 1847, Minerva b. 1850, Ida b. 1855. In 1870 census Sarah b. 1849.The years are off a little.In 1900 Sarah is married but can't read husband name.Father-in-law is living with them.Nathaniel b. 1815 WD.Abram b.1847 was married to Nellie b. 1862,1 ch died, no living ch.after married for7 years.
Found Samuel Tompkins 28, Lois 21, Ella 2, in Otsego Co., Maryland twp. 1860 census.In 1900 found Sam b. Dec. 1831 age 68 m.43 yrs.,Lois b. 1839 age 61 1 ch. alive living with Ida Williams Gra dau. age 17 same twp.I didn't find anything in WI.At that time the names of the counties were changing name and county lines.
