Since I sent my last message I've been checking more of my notes. I found that my ggrandmother's brother, Hallet Barber Potter, had a son named Edgar and he was about the same age as your Edgar Potter. I'm not sure if this is the same one, as I don't have any info on Edgar's family.
Also I looked over my cemetery notes for Grand View Cemetery in Marquette and I found a Louis C. Potter b. Oct. 2, 1873 d Dec. 18, 1939 and Rose E. Potter b. Oct. 6, 1879 d. March 12, 1938. They are buried in front of my ggrandmother's sister's family. Also, there's a Harold W. Potter 1903 - 1993 and Jennie M (Baker) 1911-1997.
I realize that Potter isn't a direct line for you, but maybe by learning about one line will lead you to learn more about another.
