Louisa Ohara married Alvin M. Dixon in 1861 Grant County. They had one daughter that I know of, Nellie b. 1863 (of course she isn't on the WI birth index). I believe Louisa died because Alvin remarried in 1871 to Mary E. Wood. Nellie ended up living with Alvin's parents.
I know this is no small task, as I don't have a death year, and not even a small range. I believe the other child listed with Nellie, Willie born 1866 is a child of Alvin and Louisa as well, but have no proof. If that is true, Louisa would have died between 1866-1871. I know that the kids were in Lafayette county by 1870. But Alvin is nowhere to be found on the 1870 Census, neither is Louisa.
I can't find Louisa in any subsequent census either, nor a remarriage for her, so I don't believe they divorced.
Please help if you can.
