Dear Jim,
I am newly researching my Johnson roots. My great-grandmother was Margaret Johnson Bergeson. She was the mother of my grandmother, Viola Pansy Bergeson Wetley, who was born 1 Aug., 1902 in Superior, WI. They seemed to be active in the Asbury M.E. Church in Duluth, MN. My grandmother was baptized and married there. Margaret died when my grandmother was a child and she was raised my an aunt, Edna Mae Johnson. Several of her Johnson relatives lived in Elroy, WI (Juneau County), which is how she met my grandfather, Halvor Gregor Wetley. They lived in Elroy until they both passed away. I realize that Johnson may be a popular "Americanization" of a Norwegian name, but I am hoping ther might be a connection between my Johnsons and yours. Please let me know if you have any ideas. My e-mail address is burt87@hotmail.com.
Thank you,
Greg Burton
