Franz Anton Bollig was born Apr. 11, 1813 in Kleinballesheim, lived in Tripperdorf. On Sept. 23, 1841 married Elizabeth Kallenberg, who was 25.She was born in Walberberg, near Köln.Her parents were Heinrich and Catherine Kallenberg.His parents were Peter and Anna Catherine Bollig.in Oct. 1854 Franz and Elizabeth came to America.Came to Chicago, then bought land from govt and homesteaded Southwest of CP.Their children were all born in Germany except Bernhard and Francis.
Franz Bollig & family arrived in N.Y. 7 Oct. 1854 from Antwerp on the ship Peterhoff.The family on the ship's manifest comprised: Franz 40, Elisabeth 38, Heinrich 11, Peter 9, Elisabeth 7, Joseph 4 and Caspar 09 mo., and siblings?: Maria 27, Bernhard 22.
