By the way, I have listed a second marriage for Francois Jr to Louise Stram. I don't know if this was another person or a different name for the same person.
I have also seen a couple references to Francois (but referred-to as Francis) purchasing land in Minnesota in 1856. He partnered with David Benoit to buy land from Pierre Bottineau. Those references indicate Francois was unmarried. That makes me think Julia (and/or Louise?) died in Prairie du Chien.
