Bonnie,

Per the State Crawford Co., WI marriage records, Levi “Heirs” married Eliza Phillips, 15 Jan 1880, Eastman Twp. Levi was recorded as the son of James and Unknown Heirs. Eliza the daughter of Derick (deceased) and Matilda (Heirs) Phillips.

The record indicates that Derick was deceased at the time of the marriage. Matilda’s maiden name was also recorded as “Heirs” which could imply that Levi and Eliza were cousins. Quite common for the time.
