I'm looking for info on the family of John Lawler. Family papers say he was the son of Patrick Lawler, of Queen's Co. Ireland, and nephew of Catherine Lawler Doran. John married a Ann Dunn of Mt. Rath, Ireland, and emigrated to America where they settled at 'P.de C.'. I am wondering if this is the same John Lawler so prominent in the history of Prairie du Chien, Crawford Co., Wisconsin. My line, Catherine, settled in Fayette County Iowa and married into Gibbs.
John Lawler has 10 children in the 1880 census: John D., Thomas P, Daniel W., Louis Dana, Frank J., Joseph C., Plement (Clement), Mary J., Catherine E., and Nelley C.
