Anyone interested in John William Rogers' line should contact either David Taft or me. We have worked together on the Roghers/Rogers-Coleman genealogy for many years. We are still looking for the origin of William Rogers b. about 1803 in New York who moved to Jefferson Co. Wisconsin about 1844- 1847. William married Margaret Elmendorf b. about 1826 probably in Erie Co. New York . Their oldest son was John William Rogers b. about 1850 in Jefferson Co., New York. Margaret's Elmendorf line goes back to Kingston, New York in the 1600's and to Holland.
