tracy, i thought of you and your search.feeble minded did not always mean mental problems. institutions were not governed like they are today. people could be committed for a club foot, to depression, to being "odd", to mental problems. sometimes a child was left with a relative or a neighbor, a lady could be widowed, or be odd after "the change of life". people didn't know what to do with them, so they'd take them to a facility and drop them off. sometimes they'd leave them on the door step and leave. and never return. if you can't find a cemetery, a lot of counties had a "potters field" where unclaimed people would be buried. good luck
