You may want to contact the Acadian Line. Doucette was one of the original families dating back to 1604 in Acadie Nova Scotia. There is a large gathering next year in Nova Scotia that includes all the family reunions. Do a search on Acadia on the net and you will find one that says something like CMA 2004. That is the official site. Once you get there, go to families and find Doucette. The Acadians kept remarkable records and each family seems to have complete geneaolgy already done. I know my Brault family is complete.
