I am searching for any information on William Bishop Rea, who came to Ashland, Wisconsin from Fond du Lac in 1886. William was born in Newburg, Cumberland County, PA in 1847 and first came to Wisconsin at Oshkosh in about 1869. He then went to Appleton, the Fond du Lac, and finally Ashland.

He was very successful in the profession of real estate, and was also appointed as City Assessor of Ashland, at one point in the 1890s. He married Carrie A. French (b. 1857), who came to Ashland from Melbourne, Canada with her parents, and they had three daughters, Carrie A. Rea (b. Feb. 7, 1884 in Fond du Lac), Edith E. Rea, and Leslie A. Rea (b. June 3, 1893 in Ashland). Leslie died at the age of 14 months. Any help would be appreciated.

Gary
