Ralph H. “Bud” Wesling, age 87, of Ashland, passed away on Thursday, Dec.10, 2009, at his residence. He was born Nov.18, 1922, in Benoit [Wisconsin], the son of Oscar and Ellen (Wilder) Wesling. Bud graduated from Drummond High School [in Wisconsin] in 1941. He worked on the family farm in the Benoit area before moving to Milwaukee [Wisconsin].

He married Alice Jensen on July 22, 1957.

Bud worked for the veterans administration in Milwaukee as an adjudicator from 1957 to 1987. He and his wife moved to Ashland in 1989. Bud was always an all-around good and helpful person to his family and his neighbors. He is a member of First English Lutheran Church in Ashland.

He is survived by his wife, Alice, of Ashland; a sister, Ramona Branzell of Washburn; a special cousin, Raymond Nelson of Ashland; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dean Wesling; a brother, Roy Wesling; and two sisters; Ruby Wesling and Rachel Strom.
