Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Would like to correspond with any descendants of this couple. Charles was born in 1836 in Germany, died January 1911 in Ashland. Margaret was born in 1841 in Erie County, New York, died December 1911 in Ashland. Both were buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ashland. They had five children, one of whom was William C. Stefan born 1870 in Ohio, died 1946 in Ashland, buried in same cemetery. His wife was Catherine Baker. William and Catherine had one known child, Chester, born 1896 in Ohio.
Charles and Margaret had two daughters, also -- Lena (Magdalena?) born 1860 in New York, and Ida born about 1862 in New York. The other two children may have died in infancy. Lena may have been married to a Louis Reinhart.
Sometimes the "Stefan" name is mangled in the records -- I've seen Steffan, Steffen, Stephen, etc.
