I have found more on this family from the 1901 Census for the village of Madoc, Hasting County, Ontario:

James Whytock, b. 20 June 1833, urban Scotland, emigrated to Canada 1857, Presbyterian, Grocer. Wife Jane Miller, b. 15 May 1836, urban Scotland, emigrated 1844.
       
Children of James Whytock and Jane Miller are:
i.       James Jr Whytock, born March 20, 1863 in Ontario.
ii.       Christina Whytock, born January 20, 1867.
iii.       Martha Whytock, born January 17, 1871.
iv.       Charles Whytock, born August 09, 1875 in Ontario.
v.       Charlotte (Lottie) Whytock, born June 27, 1877 in Madoc, ON. She married Alexander McGregor; born January 21, 1876 in Petty, Inverness.
vi.       Louisa Whytock, born June 17, 1879.
vii.       Walter Whytock, born September 06, 1882.


Generation No. 2

       2. James Jr Whytock b. 20 March 1863, Ontario, Presbyterian, Grocer, wife Jennie, b. 29 May 1864, urban Ontario.

Children of James Whytock and Jennie are:
i.       Arthur Whytock, born March 25, 1891 in Ontario.
ii.       Irene Whytock, born March 03, 1896 in Ontario.


       5. Charles Whytock was b. 9 Aug 1875, Urban Ontario (probably Madoc), Scotch, Presbyterian, Farmer; wife Christina, b. 9 April 1870, Scotland.
       
Child of Charles Whytock and Christina is:
i.       Carl Whytock, born March 11, 1899.
