Saw in your message that you mentioned the name "Cuff"...Robert Cuff in connection with the Whoberry/Whobrey name.
My husband is a descendant of (James) Andrew Cuff who had a son, Robert, b. abt 1790 in SC.
A couple of weeks ago, I received a reply from my Cuff research in Rutherford Cty, TN telling me they had found that Andrew Cuff had witnessed the will for Elizabeth Whoberry and that upon her death, David Cuff (who is another son of Andrew) posted the bond for the executrix of the will, Patsy Blackettor. This kind of indicates that there is some sort of "kinship" between Elizabeth Whoberry and my Cuff family. Can you enlighten me as to what the connection that Robert Cuff has with the Whoberry/Whobrey's.
SEARCHING FOR ANYONE WHO HAS KNOWLEDGE OF AN ELIZABETH WHOBERRY/WHOBREY LIVING IN TN BETWEEN THE YEARS 1817 AND 1828 THAT MIGHT HAVE A CONNECTION WITH THE CUFF FAMILY.
