Of course you may use the information! How exciting for you to find your information. I hopped around here for days when I found my Isophene Whobrey through the forum two years ago.

My information comes from several researchers who have shared with me; along with my own research. Most genealogists post their findings to share. We all try to give credit where credit is due. You are the third new poster in less than two weeks! I had not checked the forum in quite a while; in fact, I wasn't really intending to check Whobrey, but did so. Amazing. You, Tamara, and Wendy are probably more closely related. What a coincidence with Tamara being your husband's cousin!

As for accuracy? I look at it like most do - each piece of data is at least a clue if I only accept the information from another. By stating that I got the particular data from an individual but without documentation, it will let me know if I later wish to actually "prove" the data.

some of those that have helped me are:
Shari Ryerson; Bobbie Jeffries; Linda Whobrey Rohman; and Pat Sampson. Shari has founded a family site - Whobrey Heritage on MyFamily.com. I told Tamara or Wendy I would find out how to extend an invitation to join the site. From others' postings of finds, obituaries, histories, photos, etc., I added so much to my Whobrey lineage. It was this compilation that gave the results I posted in Nov. I was simply following the lead of other generous researchers out there. Passing it on!

As for Matthew Whobrey;
here is what I have. The information on Michael was the most excellent Newsletter by Shari Ryerson. (She has not published a new one in quite some time.)This issue was: "Reunion" A Whobrey Letter, Vol 1, Issue 4, Aug 8, 1999, Managing Ed. Shari Ryerson.

Other sources are cited at the end of the information.

And I thought Whobreys were rare, at least in Oregon! My Grandpa's name was Henry Whobrey, and he married Wilma Lousignant. My dad is Randall Whobrey, and he married Audrey Goette. Then there is my brother Travis and I, who have yet to have children. There are a few other Whobrey relatives around but I will have to ask my mom the details. It will be really neat to see how we fit in with the Family Tree!!
