Hello! My name is Natalie. I am currently working on a really big research project (aren't they all really big?) about our Whittlesey family. The focus if Eliphalet's (b.10 may 1714/ d.12 july1786/m. D. Kellogg) revolutionary family. I have the family genealogies and such, yet sadly, can find no record of Martin's (first born:5oct1737) military experiences and would love to elaborate on this particular area. I know the official records were lost in a fire, the department of the interior holds no answers for me, but maybe you can help? Do you know of any oral traditions/ or the approximate area he fought in "...defending New York"? Perhaps the company he was in or a superior officer? How was he paralyzed? I would appreciate any help or time you give this request! Thanks and Nice to meet you! Natalie.
