I am a Whittlesey of Washington CT. My uncle Bernard owned the farm on Whittlesey road many years ago. My dad, John and his sister Ethel grew up on the farm after their parents divorced (not heard of back then)and my grandfather remarried. Apparently my new grandmother did not appreciate the children of the previous marriage so my dad lived with his uncle and aunt. Many fond memories of visiting my great aunt and uncle. My dad passed away in 1983 and my mother just passed away last June. Growing up in Washington was spectacular. When I look back now I can't believe how lucky we were to grow up in an area like that.
