where is my family and how can i obtain info about my ancestors????

Hi, I'm Angela Hughes, of Detroit, MI. I am the daughter of Alice Hughes, the grand daughter of Lois I Earnest-Tarter, the great grand daughter of Julia Dowell-Earnest, the great, great grand daughter of Sallie (Sarah) Whittington-Dowell, the great, great, great grand daughter of Lucinda Bly-Whittington, of Boone, NC.

Lucinda was the slave of John Jefferson Whittington, who then gave her to his son, John Cromwell Whittington. They had 7 known children together: Jane, Nero, Sallie(Sarah), William, Leander, Elbert, and Callie, all of North Carolina.

Lucinda was said to be part Cherokee Indian. I would appreciate any and all family info, documentation, pics, etc, and all family members. I can be emailed @ mzdaisy1029@comcast.net, thank you and God bless.
