Sarah jane Short married Thomas Whitten at her mothers house in east Tenn. They had a large number of children.Thomas was a minister. They moved to Arkansas and later moved to Lamar County Texas. In 1864 my greast grandfather, Christopher Columbus Lamb married their daughter Elvira Whitten in Little Rock Arkansas.
She died in lamar Co. Texas and is buried in Mt. Tabor cemetery.Christopher later moved to Calahan Co Texas. Some of g his children stayed in Lamar Co , some in Calahan Co. He moved to Granview oklahoma with another son George Washington lamb. Christopher died in 1939 and was buried in Oklahoma. Sarah jane and Thomas are buried in Praire View Cemetery in Lamar co Tx.
