Hello David, I suppose you belong to Claudia C's Whitehead site. Many of my forebears come from Orange County, NC including Thomas Whitehead Esq. My maternal grandmother's family had changed the spelling to Whited from Whitted and Whiteted and Whitehead (did I omit any?) I'll have to check again on just how, but Thomas Whitehead pops up in my dad's family as well, I think it was before the marriage to Sarah Kirk. My parents were cousins via this line (which I'm not sure they knew about) but also a couple of times through the Sharp children of Henry Sharp and Barbara Graves (daughter of Johann S. Graf, born 1703). Just checking to see if any of my other major lines pop up there, do you want to compare? My families all ended up in Tennessee.
