Hi,
I’m looking at Joseph Whittall who was the husband of Jane Grove. They were married in 1821 in Handsworth & then moved to Birmingham until sometime after 1851. They then went back to Handsworth.
Joseph was a builder by trade. I do have them on the 1841 & 1851 Census and followed up on the children. Some of the them moved back to Wolverhampton, where Jane originated from.
I must admit that I am more interested in the Grove family as Jane’s sister Harriet came to Australia with her husband, Joseph Wood.
The Whittall family kept in touch with the Oz branch & I may have a photograph of Jane [no name on photo].
Any references to this family will be gratefully received.
